About Us

Delightful Foods was founded in Oakland, CA in 1978. Bilal, our founder learned how to bake from his mother who was an Arkansas-born professional chef.

Bilal grew up in Oakland, CA in the 1950's and 1960's. During his youth, he had a dream and vision of owning and operating a bakery that would provide customers with excellent tasting products and provide young people opportunities to grow within the company.

44 years later, he's still the captain of the ship and delivering on his vision.
